'Mamata Banerjee is anti-Hindu': BJP MP Pratap Sarangi slams West Bengal CM

NEW DELHI: BJP MP Pratap Chandra Sarangi criticised West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee regarding the Murshidabad violence incident, labelling her as “anti-Hindu”. He stated that Banerjee lacked the authority to discuss national unity, citing her actions that caused societal divisions in West Bengal.
“West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee is anti-Hindu. She has no right to speak about the unity of the nation. She divided the society in West Bengal. What is happening in Murshidabad? Did Mamata Banerjee take care of that? She is responsible for all the communal violence in West Bengal.” Sarangi said.

Additionally, on May 5, Union minister Giriraj Singh condemned the West Bengal CM’s visit to the troubled Murshidabad area, suggesting that she responded only after Hindu communities expressed their discontent.
Singh stated that Banerjee arrived in Murshidabad after a 27-day delay. He expressed concerns about Hindu safety under her leadership and suggested that Bengal’s residents have recognised this issue.
In his interaction with ANI, Singh stated, “Mamata Banerjee does vote bank politics and appeasement politics. She is the same Mamata Banerjee who had said that no one can expel any Bangladeshi in her presence. (In Murshidabad) Everything was done under the protection of the administration. When a feeling of anger arose among all Hindus in Bengal, Mamata Banerjee reached Murshidabad after 27 days to shed crocodile tears. Hindus are not safe there under her rule. The people of Bengal have understood this.”
West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee conducted a two-day visit to Murshidabad district on Monday to meet with those affected by the riots.
