CHENNAI: An Oman Air flight from Muscat to Kuala Lumpur had to make an emergency landing at Chennai airport on Friday after a 42-year-old woman complained of chest pain.
She was declared dead by the medical team, after which her body was sent to Chromepet GHl for autopsy.
Khalija Abubacker of Malaysia was part of a group of pilgrims who was returning home after visiting Medina.
After she complained of chest pain, the pilot contacted the Chennai air traffic controller and requested for an emergency landing.
The flight landed around 2pm and later departed at 4.30pm.
