Maharashtra CM swearing in ceremony: Traffic restrictions announced for December 5 in Mumbai
Mumbai Traffic Police has announced vehicle restrictions for December 5 due to the swearing-in ceremony of Maharashtra’s chief ministers and deputy chief ministers at Azad Maidan.

MUMBAI: Mumbai: Traffic Police have issued vehicular restrictions for Dec 5 when the swearing in ceremony of chief minister and deputy chief minister of Maharashtra is to take place at Azad Maidan. “A large number of people are expected to arrive at Azad Maidan. Please plan your journey accordingly,” said DCP (traffic) Pradnya Jedge in a press statement.
The restrictions will remain in effect from noon till the end of the event.
No entry (when required):
Mahapalika Marg : Traffic shall be prohibited from CSMT Junction to Metro Junction on both bounds.
Alternatively, motorists can use LT Marg- Chakala Junction- right turn – DN Road- CSMT Junction towards their destination.
Mahatma Gandhi Marg: Traffic shall be prohibited from OCS Junction to Metro Junction on both bounds.
Alternatively, motorists can use
A) LT Marg- Chakala Junction- right turn – DN Road- CSMT Junction towards their destination.
b) Traffic will be diverted to MK Road to move towards their destination.
Hazarimal Somani Marg: Traffic shall be prohibited from OCS Junction to CSMT Junction.
Alternatively, motorists can use OCS Junction- Hutatma Chowk- Kalaghoda – K Dubhash Marg- Shahid Bhagat Singh Marg towards their destination.
Princess Street bridge (south bound): No entry from NS Road (Marine Drive) and Coastal Road towards Shyamaldas Gandhi Junction.
Alternatively, motorists can use NS Road.
One-way :
Rambhau Salgaonkar Road from Indu clinic Junction to Volga Chowk shall be open for both ways traffic from noon to 8 pm.
Citizens are advised to follow traffic updates and cooperate with the authorities to ensure smooth movement across the city.
