LJP(RV) to hold rally in Patna on Nov 28: Chirag

Patna: Union minister and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan on Friday announced that his party would organise a major rally at Gandhi Maidan in Patna on November 28 this year as part of preparations for the 2025 state assembly elections.
Chirag made the announcement at a function held at Paswan Chowk in Hajipur to celebrate the 78th birth anniversary of former Union minister and Padma Bhushan recipient Ram Vilas Paswan, his father and LJP founder. He urged party workers to start canvassing and invite people to participate in the rally.
Chirag said the NDA would contest the 2025 assembly elections under chief minister Nitish Kumar’s leadership. This contrasts with the 2020 assembly elections when Chirag’s party contributed to JD(U)’s poor performance by fielding candidates against nominees of Nitish’s party in over 100 constituencies.
In the recent April-June parliamentary elections, Chirag’s LJP(RV) contested five Lok Sabha seats as an NDA partner and won all of them, including JD(U) as an ally.
Asked about recent bridge collapses in the state, Chirag said an investigation has been ordered. “Based on its findings, action will be taken against those responsible. There will be no compromise with corruption. The CM has assured this,” Chirag added.
