Berhampur: Renowned litterateur and poet Soubhagya Kumar Misra was conferred with the prestigious Kabi Samrat Upendra Bhanja National Award for literature at Berhampur University on Thursday. The award, instituted in 2015, carries a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh and a citation. It honours the legacy of Upendra Bhanja, one of Odisha’s greatest poets. Misra was unable to attend the ceremony due to prior commitments.
