Liquor, stolen goods seized in Patna | Patna News – Times of India

Patna: Acting on a tip-off, Patna’s Buddha Colony police raided the residence of an alleged smuggler, Rohit, in China Kothi locality, and seized stolen electronic items, including two laptops, two tablets and 22 cellphones, along with 280 bottles of liquor on Wednesday.
However, Rohit managed to evade arrest.
Meanwhile, four members of a thieves’ gang were nabbed from Patna City area on Wednesday. Police recovered Rs 15.3 lakh in cash, jewellery worth over Rs 50 lakh, a pistol, eight bullets and two motorcycles from Mohd Javed Ali, Mohd Ashraf, Mohd Shahrukh and Mohd Sameer, besides the tools used by the gang.
Patna rural SP Vishwajeet Dayal said the gang was involved in a series of thefts in Barh, Bakhtiyarpur, Fatuha and Nalanda district.
