Chhapra: Police during a vehicle-checking drive on Sunday night detained a truck escorted by a four-wheeler on SH-73 between Marhaura and Taraiya and seized 5,964 litres of spirit. Saran SP Kumar Ashish said the driver of truck, Suraj Kumar and attendant Vikesh Kumar Yadav were arrested. The police also arrested one Guddu Tiwari, a resident of Harpur Kothi under Janata Bazar PS in Saran district, who was escorting the truck. Police registered a case under Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act on Monday.
