Chennai: The HR and CE minister P K Sekarbabu on Sunday challenged Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman for a debate with state finance minister Thangam Thennarasu on allocation of central funds to the state.
Responding to the remarks of Sitharaman that arguments put forth by the DMK MPs on fund allocation to TN was not valid, Sekarbabu told reporters here that the Union minister was repeatedly giving false information on the issue.
“Thangam Thennarasu had explained in detail about the unfair fund allocation to TN. If Nirmala Sitharaman disagrees, let her come for a debate with him,” he said.
Sekarbabu said the Union govt was refusing funds even for school children who are pillars of future India.
