Patna: Hitting out at the leader of opposition in the state assembly, Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, for his criticism of law and order situation in Bihar, Union minister Nityanand Rai on Wednesday said that the present situation is better than what used to be during the 15-year jungle raj of his parents Lalu Prasad and Rabri Devi of RJD.
“The situation is not as bad as it used to be during the jungle raj of the RJD under the 15-year Lalu-Rabri rule. Then, crimes were planned by criminal elements at the residences of ministers,” Rai said when asked by media persons about Yadav’s general remarks on the law and order situation under the NDA rule in the state.
Yadav has been criticising the state govt over law and order in the state and on Tuesday night had lashed out on social media after the murder of Jitan Sahani, the father of former minister and Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) chief Mukesh Sahani.
Regarding the killing of Jitan Sahani, Rai said, “It is a very sad incident. We are with Mukesh Sahani. A special investigation team was constituted to probe the murder.”
