Bhubaneswar: Deputy chief minister KV Singh Deo informed the assembly on Wednesday that small and marginal farmers will get Rs 4,000 annually in two instalments under the CM-Kisan scheme. They will get the instalments on Akshay Trutiya and Nuakhai.
They will get the first instalment on Sept 8. Singh Deo further said that landless farmers will get Rs 12,500 in a year in three instalments.They will get Rs 5,000 each in two instalments and Rs 2,500 in the third instalment. To get the financial assistance, the landless farmers can apply on a portal like Kalia scheme. Govt is likely to provide details about the portal very soon. TNN

Installation of smart meters begins in Kolar
Central discom began installing smart meters in Bhopal’s Kolar area, following successful tests of 15 units. Around 62,000 meters are set for Kolar, adding to a total of over 4.1 million meters planned across 16 districts under the RDSS scheme. The project starts with Bhopal’s urban circle, aiming for 208,128 installations.
