Kotturpuram double murders: 2 more held | Chennai News – The Times of India

Chennai: Two more suspects were on Friday arrested in the double murder case reported at Kotturpuram on March 16.
The arrested men were identified as K Anand alias Cheeta, 20, and M Karthik, 22, both residents of Kottivakkam. The duo was sent to Puzhal prison.
So far, the police have arrested 14 suspects, including four juveniles, in connection with the case. Seven knives, five phones, and four two-wheelers were seized from them.
Rowdies Arunkumar, 25, and Padappai Suresh, 25, were murdered by a gang while they were sleeping inside Nagavalli Amman Temple in Kotturpuram.
They were attacked reportedly in retaliation to Arunkumar devising a plot to eliminate the prime suspect, Sukku Kaapi Suresh, 26, of Chengalpet.
Arunkumar had allegedly devised the plan to avenge the murder of his girlfriend, Sahinsa, at Kelambakkam in 2022. Police said six of the 10 arrested suspects suffered fractures to their hands and legs while trying to flee from police.
