Kerala Cheating Case Fugitive Detained at Chennai Airport Coming from Muscat | Chennai News – The Times of India

CHENNAI: A man wanted by Kerala police was detained at Chennai airport. A 31-year-old man, who was absconding in connection with a cheating case registered by Kerala police, was secured at Chennai airport when he landed from Muscat.
Sajeevan Atul of Thrissur flew to Oman six months ago after committing the offence, and the district police superintendent issued a lookout notice on information that the accused fled abroad.
On Saturday, Sajeevan flew back to Chennai on an Air India Express flight. The immigration officials, while verifying documents, found that a lookout notice was issued against him.
The officers detained the man and handed him over to the city police station at the airport. The Thrissur police were alerted, and a team reached Chennai on Sunday to take custody of him.
