Kenyan held for gold smuggling

Mumbai: The Air intelligence Unit of customs intercepted Kenyan national Fatumalul Abdullahi Shire on suspicion of carrying a contraband. She arrived in Mumbai on March 8, 2025, from Addis Ababa by the Ethiopian Airlines. Upon inspection, officials found 1.9kg of gold bars and jewellery valued at Rs 1.344cr in her possession. tnn
