Karnataka child rights’ panel slaps notices on 3 schoolsover high fees

Bengaluru: Karnataka State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (KSCPCR) issued notices to three private schools in the city for unscientifically charging exorbitant fees. The action follows a complaint filed by Samriddhi Bharat Foundation.
KSCPCR asked the schools to provide clarifications with appropriate documents within three days. The commission can recommend to the department of school education to take legal action in case the schools cannot justify the fees charged.
On Wednesday, minister for school education Madhu Bangarappa had said the govt does not have the power to regulate private school fees.
