Junior engr found dead in car in Bargarh | Bhubaneswar News
Sambalpur: A junior engineer’s body was found inside his car at Haldipali Chowk in Bargarh district on Friday morning. The deceased, identified as Chandrashekhar Jhadia (44), was recently posted at Barpali block development office from Bheden BDO’s office.He was a native of Kalahandi district.Jhadia left for his office around 11 am on Thursday. He did not return home for lunch. His wife, Dolly Jhadia, told the media, “I had talked to him on Thursday afternoon. He asked us to have lunch without him. He said he will have lunch outside and come home.”“I was thinking there may be some extra work in his office, for which he stayed back. But his number was unreachable the whole night. I was going to his office in Barpali. On the way, I saw his car at Haldipali Chowk around 5.30 am on Friday. As the car was locked from inside, we called police and ambulance service to rescue him,” she said.Satyajit Kandankel, IIC of Bargarh Town police station, said the junior engineer was last spotted by one of his colleagues in his car at Haldipali Chowk on Thursday afternoon. Police suspect the JE was intoxicated while coming back home. He may have fallen asleep, keeping the car AC on, police said.Police said nothing in the car was burnt except skin on his face and hand. His shirt and papers were intact. Police suspect he died out of suffocation or heart attack. Cops have sent the body for autopsy.
