Two held for duping 6 after promising jobs

Sambalpur: Two men posing as officers of a fake enforcement agency, Raid Action Wing (RAW), were arrested by Sambalpur police for duping six youths on the pretext of getting them govt jobs in their fake agency.
The accused have been identified as Satyaranjan Sahu (43) from Balasore district and Shivnayan Seth (23) of VSS Colony in Sambalpur district.
The mastermind, Sukanta Kumar Rath, from Gajapati district is on the run.
Briefing the media, superintendent of police (Sambalpur) Mukesh Bhamoo said, “It is a case of forgery. The accused targeted highly educated youths in search of jobs. They asked them to complete tasks as probationers to secure a permanent position in the organization after collecting some fee from them. The accused issued ID cards and authorisation letters in their letter head with Govt of India and RAW logo along with ‘International Organisation Against Crime and Corruption’ written on it.
Bhamoo added that the youths were given tasks like raiding excise shops and narcotics hideouts and seizing items from there and handing it over to the accused.
