Prayagraj: To ensure employment among rural folks, the regional employment department is organising block-level job fairs in all 23 blocks of district till July 2. More than 200 companies are participating in the fair to select over 1,800 youths.“The department has already started organising block-level employment fairs, and in the current financial year, the fair was held in Handia and Dhanupur blocks on Monday. High school, intermediate and graduate pass candidates aged 18 to 40 who registered themselves on the Rojgar Sangam portal took part in this employment fair. A total of 10 companies participated in the fair of Handia and Dhanupur. A total of 119 youths were registered of which 29 were selected,” said assistant director (employment) Rajiv Kumar Yadav.He added the fair was held in Phulpur and Pratappur on Tuesday.Yadav added that fairs will be held at Sahason and Bahariya blocks on June 18, Soraon and Mauaima on June 19, Saidabad and Bahadurpur on June 20, Kaudihar and Shringaverpur on June 23, Meja and Koraon on June 24, Uruwa and Manda on June 26, Karchana and Kaundhiara on June 27, Jasra and Shankargarh on June 30, Chaka and Bhagwatpur on July 1, and Holagarh on July 2. tnn
