Jana Reddy seeks cabinet berth for leaders from Rangareddy, Hyderabad districts | Hyderabad News

Hyderabad: With the state cabinet set to be expanded soon, senior Congress leader K Jana Reddy has requested the party leadership to provide representation to a few districts. There are six vacancies in the cabinet and speculation is that the expansion may happen on April 3.
On Tuesday, Jana Reddy wrote a letter to AICC general secretary KC Venugopal, urging priority for combined Hyderabad and Rangareddy districts in the cabinet expansion. He said that including leaders from these areas in the cabinet would not only benefit the public but also help Congress in these regions.
Already, MLAs from Madiga, Lambada and BC communities have written to the leadership requesting representation for their groups. They have sent their appeals via mail to AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, KC Venugopal and AICC in-charge for Telangana, Meenakshi Natarajan.
