Bengaluru: A 30-year-old IT professional registered a police complaint against his spouse, citing instances of psychological and physical abuse, including an alleged attempt to kill him by hitting him on his private parts.
The case was registered at Vyalikaval police station Wednesday. Police investigation is under way.
The complainant said his wife and in-laws subjected him to continuous mental and physical abuse for financial gain. He claimed he lost his job while working remotely due to his wife’s interference and disputes. “She even danced in front of the laptop during video calls,” he claimed.
According to him, when divorce was proposed, his wife demanded Rs 45 lakh as settlement. He noted that since their marriage in Aug 2022, they did not share a harmonious relationship, and their marriage remained unconsummated.
The complaint detailed how his wife allegedly threatened self-harm and suicide if he attempted to contact her. He reported incidents of physical violence, including an alleged attempt to end his life through an attack on his private parts.
