International Sufi Caravan head Mufti Manzur Ziyaee demands strong action against perpetrators of Pahalgam terror attack | Mumbai News – The Times of India

MUMBAI: International Sufi Caravan head Mufti Manzur Ziyaee has demanded strong and exemplary punishment for the perpetrators of the Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 28 lives and left a dozen injured.
“This is an attack on the soul of India. These were innocent tourists spending their vacation in the valley at the peak of the tourism season. The perpetrators of this heinous crime must be brought to justice,” said Mufti Ziyaee.
The International Sufi Caravan chief called upon Indians not to fall into the trap of viewing it solely as a terror issue. “Do not make it a Hindu-Muslim issue. If the victims were asked to identify themselves, it was deliberately done to create communal hatred in the country, and we can defeat the nefarious design of the terrorists by staying together and maintaining communal harmony,” he said.
Mufti Ziyaee also stated that the terrorists who killed the innocent tourists cannot be called Muslims.
“Killing one innocent is like killing all of humanity, and saving an innocent life is like saving humanity. While we condemn this dastardly attack, we should not forget that there were many Kashmiri Muslims who saved the lives of many tourists by risking their own lives. We must appreciate and thank these bravehearts,” he said.
Mufti Ziyaee added that the whole country has joined hands in this moment of sorrow, and we must not allow our enemies to take advantage. “This is not the time to create divisions. This is a time to stay united against the forces that attacked innocent tourists,” he said.
