INS Chilika: Fourth batch of Agniveers to graduate from INS Chilika | Bhubaneswar News


Bhubaneswar: As many as 1,390 Agniveers will graduate from INS Chilika in a grand passing out parade ceremony on August 9. This will be the fourth batch of Agniveers to graduate from INS Chilika.
Chief of naval staff (CNS) Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi will preside over the ceremony, which will showcase the Agniveers’ dedication and commitment to serving the nation, read an officials statement of the defence ministry.
The CNS will also participate in concluding ceremony of Agniveers, awarding various departments for their outstanding contributions and achievements. Alongside the naval Agniveers, 330 coast guard sailors will also graduate, marking a significant milestone in their careers. Vice admiral V Srinivas, flag officer commanding-in-chief of the Southern Naval Command, will be the parade reviewing officer.
“The ceremony not only signifies the successful completion of the rigorous 16-week initial naval training of the Agniveers but also marks the commencement of their journey in the Indian Navy, where they will be prepared to face combat situations and future challenges,” the statement added.
