‘Infra renovation on major flyovers, bridges nearly done’ | Bhubaneswar News

Bhubaneswar: Preparations are in full swing for the upcoming Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, 2025 in the city, with authorities expediting the refurbishment work on the flyovers, bridges, roads, and other infrastructure.
The parallel flyovers on National Highway-16, stretching between Kalinga Nagar and Kuakhai Bridge, are currently being given fresh coats of paint. Similarly, road-over bridges at Bomikhal, VSS Nagar, Pokhariput, Palaspalli and near Mausi Maa Temple are undergoing aesthetic enhancements.
Skilled artisans have been engaged to decorate the flyover between AG Square and Kalpana Square with tribal-themed artwork.
“We have nearly completed the refurbishment work on major flyovers and bridges. The roads are being restored on a priority basis, and the artistic work is being meticulously executed by the engaged artisans,” said Sulochana Das, the city mayor.
Footpaths and cycle tracks, previously neglected, are also being restored with fresh paintwork.
