Induction meet for PG students at Patna University | – Times of India
Patna: The postgraduate departments of Patna University (PU) on Tuesday organised induction meets for the newly admitted students in the regular stream. The basic purpose of organising the meet is to help newcomers acclimatise with the new academic environment and develop a bond with fellow students and teachers, said the university officials. The classes of the new batch will start on Wednesday.
Dean of students’ welfare Anil Kumar told TOI that spot admission of students in regular PG courses concluded on Tuesday. More than 1,100 students have been admitted against a total of about 1,600 sanctioned seats in conventional streams. All the seats under PU quota were exhausted, but there are still some seats left under other universities’ quota. All these remaining seats would now be treated as general and the admission aspirants would get another chance for admission. The process of admission to PG courses under self-financing stream is underway and all the admissions are likely to be completed soon, said the dean.
