Increased Flight Frequency from Delhi to Gaya Expected Soon | Patna News – Times of India

Delhi-Gaya flight frequency may increase

Gaya: The frequency of flights from Delhi to Gaya is likely to increase. This would minimise the need for travellers to go to Patna and then travel by road to Gaya.
Union micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) minister Jitan Ram Manjhi held a meeting with officials of the Airports Authority of India (AAI) at Udyog Bhawan in New Delhi on Wednesday, where the AAI officials assured that the initiative brought forward by the Union minister would be implemented soon, hopefully within the next 10 to 15 days.
The minister said at the meeting, “At present, only one flight is being operated between Gaya and Delhi. Hence, people coming to Gaya have to reach Patna by air and then travel by road to Gaya. They have to bear the cost of the taxi, which puts an extra burden on their pockets.”
Manjhi also discussed with the officials the possibility of operating both domestic and international flights from Gaya, similar to the operations in Chennai.
HAM (S) national spokesman Nandlal Manjhi said, “As per a verbal agreement between AAI officials and the Union minister, at least two round-trip IndiGo flights are likely to start operating on the Gaya-Delhi route.”
