Ignitho Technologies opens new facility in Chennai | Chennai News – The Times of India
CHENNAI: Ignitho Technologies, an information technology services company, has opened its new facility in Chennai focusing on artificial intelligence applications.
The office in Sholinganallur was inaugurated by Tamil Nadu minister for information technology and digital services Palanivel Thiaga Rajan. The company plans to increase its headcount in Chennai to 1,000 in two years, with an initial capacity of 300 from 100 employees at present.
This expansion is part of the plan to grow revenue to Rs 100 crore in a year, and the centre will serve as a hub for developing and deploying more AI agents, using advanced generative AI models and other technologies, said company chief technology officer Ashin Antony.
He said the company is building analytics tools and AI agents for large enterprise clients in the US, UK and other countries in Europe.
He added that enterprises have started deploying AI projects unlike a few months back where they only experimented with the technology. “Frugal innovation and quick turnover time for projects gives us the advantage over the traditional big technology service players,” he said.
Ignitho is a portfolio company of US-headquartered Nuivio Ventures and has majority of its development operations in Chennai. The office will also function as the AI capability centre for Nuivio Ventures Inc., the parent entity.
