NEW DELHI: In a move that’s both paw-sitive and purposeful, a Hyderabad-based startup has hired a golden retriever as its newest team member, and the internet can’t stop wagging about it.Harvesting Robotics, a company building sustainable laser-weeding tech for farmers, has appointed a golden retriever named Denver as its Chief Happiness Officer (CHO). Co-founder Rahul Arepaka introduced the pup in a LinkedIn post that quickly went viral.

“He doesn’t code. He doesn’t care. He just shows up, steals hearts, and keeps the energy up,” Arepaka wrote, adding that Denver also enjoys “the best perks in the company”.The startup has now become a pet-friendly workplace, and Arepaka says Denver’s presence has brought an unexpected but welcome boost in office morale. “Making our space pet-friendly and bringing Denver in was one of the best decisions we’ve made,” he shared.Adding to the playful narrative, Denver even ‘joined’ LinkedIn, engaging in a humorous back-and-forth with Arepaka where he asked, “Can I be CEO instead, Pawsible?”Netizens couldn’t get enough of the furry hire. “CHO seems exhausted with the responsibility of making everyone happy,” one user joked. Arepaka replied in kind: “Not exhausted. We told him to take care of the next funding round.”Others users wrote, “He looks stressed,” to which Arepaka replied, “He’s currently in the cultural fit interview at Harvested.” The post on LinkedIn now has over 11,000 likes and 120 reposts.
