Hyderabad: As Aero India 2025 takes off on Monday, a Hyderabad-based defence equipment maker will mark its presence at the show with its key role in the development of Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA), India’s next-generation stealth fighter.
The city-based VEM Technologies Private Limited contributed to structural manufacturing, assembly and integration of AMCA developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).
The AMCA will be unveiled by defence minister Rajnath Singh at the biennial air show and aviation exhibition in Bengaluru.
VEM Technologies, a key player in the defence and aerospace sector, specialises in designing, developing and producing critical systems for weapons, eronautics, and space applications.
Aero India 2025, an international aerospace and defence exhibition, will be held from Feb 10 to 14. Organised by the Union ministry of defence in collaboration with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and DRDO, the event will witness participation from over 60 countries, showcasing cutting-edge advancements in air warfare.
Beyond its contribution to AMCA, VEM Technologies is engaged in manufacturing fuselages and generators for fighter aircraft while also developing various onboard systems for defence helicopters and jets. At Aero India, the company will showcase a range of indigenous weapon systems for the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
Among its key offerings is the AsiBal, an indigenously developed anti-tank guided missile, along with a suite of missile systems for land and air defence applications, including Vismai, Ajita, Vidhwams and anti-drone warfare systems.
VEM said that it aims to establish itself as a leading systems integrator, with in-house capabilities for assembling, integrating, and testing weapon systems, radars, and aerostructures. The company said it is advancing towards this goal with its upcoming integrated defence systems facility.
