Patna: Patna University (PU) on Wednesday directed all its postgraduate (PG) departments to hold induction meets for their newly admitted students of regular (conventional) postgraduate courses in the current academic session (2024-25) on August 13.
According to a notification issued here by the Patna University registrar Shalini, the induction meet will be held at 10am on August 13 at respective departments where the newly admitted students will be apprised of the curricular structure, faculties, library and laboratory facilities and other academic amenities available for them.

The classes of first-semester postgraduate students would start on August 14, the notification said.
Meanwhile, through another notification, all the aspirants for admission in conventional postgraduate courses in the current session have been asked to make necessary corrections in their applications, if any, for staking their claim for the spot round admission scheduled on August 8 and 9.
