Gunny bag helps police arrest woman’s killers | Mumbai News – The Times of India

Palghar: A Nepal citizen, along with two others has been arrested by the Palghar police for allegedly killing his live-in partner and disposing the body in a gunny bag in the Wagh river, Nashik road. The unidentified woman’s body was found on April 1 and a case of murder was registered. The bag in which the body was stuffed had ‘SM28′ printed on it. The cops spoke to a few vegetable vendors who said the bag contained green peas from Simla. The vendor in Simla said he had sent the gunny bags to Vapi, however, the search didn’t yield any results. The cops then started scanning Vapi – Silvasa area and shared details of the unidentified woman they received a tip-off that the woman was seen at Mahalaxmi Temple at Dahanu. On scanning CCTV footage, police saw the woman arrive in a car. With the help of technical evidence the police identified the woman as Kajol Gupta (26) from Nepal and was in a live-in relationship with the accused, Rajukumar Varahi for two-and-half-years. Police said she was seen with another accused identified as Balaji Waghmare. The third accused arrested has been identified as Suresh Singh. Vishal Rajemahadik
