Mumbai: Women in traditional attire astride bikes participated in shobha yatras at various places in the city, even as households put up the Gudi to celebrate Padwa on Sunday. Bike rallies and processions were taken out in Girgaum, Dadar, Vikhroli, Goregaon, Kandivali, and other places. Maharashtra Governor C P Radhakrishnan raised the Gudi on the occasion and performed the Gudi Pujan at his residence in Maharashtra Raj Bhavan in Mumbai, said a press release. The Governor extended his Gudi Padwa and New Year greetings to the staff and officers of Raj Bhavan assembled on the occasion.
