Gratuity for govt-aided school, college staff hiked

CM Mohan Majhi announced an increase in gratuity for teachers and employees of govt-aided schools and colleges. Gratuity for teaching and non-teaching staff, applicable during retirement or in case of death, was raised from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 7.5 lakh. Various teacher associations had earlier appealed to the govt for this enhancement. TNN
