Bhubaneswar: The Public Works Department has announced withdrawal of special concessions granted to local micro & small enterprises (MSEs) and startups during Covid pandemic. The decision comes in the wake of the new “Odisha Procurement Preference Policy for Micro & Small Manufacturing Enterprises” issued by the MSME department.
The earlier concessions exempted local MSEs and startups from depositing bid security during tender participation. Additionally, these enterprises were allowed to pay a reduced performance security of 25% of the standard value when selected in the bidding process.
