Govt annouces date for higher secondary exam results | Bhubaneswar News

Bhubaneswar: The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) announced on Tuesday that results of the Clas XII examination, set to commence on Feb 18, will be declared 45 days after the exam concludes on Mar 27.
A total of 3,93,618 students will appear for the exams across four streams — arts, science, commerce, and vocational — in 1,276 centres statewide. All examination centres will be equipped with CCTV surveillance, and a five-tier checking system will be implemented to prevent malpractices.
Similarly, the annual High School Certificate (HSC) examination, conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), will begin on Feb 21 and continue until Mar 5. This year, 5,22,336 students are set to appear, including 7,766 candidates for the state open school exam and 3,792 for Madhyama.
During a review meeting, chief secretary Manoj Ahuja said, “The state govt is committed to conducting the examinations efficiently. All required protocols and standard operating procedures must be followed to avoid any irregularities.”
He also stressed the importance of preventing question paper leaks and ensuring tight security. CHSE officials asked students and parents not to believe in rumours regarding question paper leaks.
The review meeting was attended by school and mass education secretary Shalini Pandit, the CHSE and BSE chairpersons, and other senior officials. District collectors, additional district magistrates, and district education officers from across the state participated virtually.
The govt has banned mobile phones and electronic devices inside examination centres and directed district collectors to assign additional officials for supervision. Regular monitoring by CHSE and BSE officials will be conducted to ensure a fair examination process.
The district administration and police will work in coordination to implement security measures, including deployment of cops at exam centres.
