Government Tech Institutes Place Over 5,000 Students in Reputed Companies | Patna News – Times of India


Patna: Over 5,000 students from various government engineering and polytechnic colleges of the state were placed in reputed companies this year. The list included 508 woman candidates.
According to a press release shared by the department of science, technology and technical education, a total of 5,485 students were recruited in various companies since January this year.The break-up shows that of the placed students, 2,384 of them were from various engineering colleges and 3,101 from polytechnic students.
While Manish Kant, a mechanical engineering student from Shershah College of Engineering in Sasaram, bagged the highest package of Rs 18 lakh per annum, the average package of all the selected engineering students was Rs 4 lakh per annum.
Also, the maximum number of students were placed from Government Engineering College, Aurangabad, with 143 of them getting jobs through campus selections this year.
In polytechnic colleges, Prahlad Kumar, a student of civil engineering from Government Polytechnic College, Jamui, got the highest package of Rs 8 lakh per annum, while the average package was Rs 2.4 lakh per annum.
