Jharsuguda: A 17-year-old boy, an accused in the alleged gang-rape of a tribal woman in Chhattisgarh’s Raigarh district, was electrocuted early on Thursday in Jharsuguda. The incident took place when the minor came in contact with a live electric wire fence, laid for hunting wild boars, at Sareipali village in Lakhanpur block.
The alleged gang-rape took place on Aug 19, the day of Raksha Bandhan, when the woman was returning home from a village fair under Pusaur police station limits in Raigarh.The deceased teenager was one of the accused in the case and he had been hiding at a relative’s house in Sareipali.
