Gajendra Singh Shekhawat Criticizes Congress for Broken Promises in Maharashtra | Mumbai News – Times of India

Thane: Union Tourism minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat criticised the Congress, accusing it of beguiling people with hollow promises and inadequate governance on crucial matters. Reflecting on the state’s political scenario, Shekhawat asserted that the 2019 mandate was violated, resulting in profound impediments for the state during the Mahavikas Aghadi govt’s administration.
Shekhawat was in Thane for campaigning for Mahayuti candidates.
According to Shekhawat, Maharashtra suffered significant losses, with several welfare schemes being stalled under Mahavikas Aghadi rule. He pointed out that youth and farmers received no tangible benefits during this period, while Congress’s promises of women empowerment and self-reliance remained largely unfulfilled. Highlighting BJP’s achievements, Shekhawat said initiatives like “Ladki Behna” scheme brought substantial benefits to people in Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra. —Nishikant Karlikar
