Prayagraj: Patients suffering from kidney, neuro, and cardio diseases under treatment at Tej Bahadur Sapru Hospital (Beli) or Motilal Nehru Divisional Hospital (Colvin), can also avail free expert opinion of the doctors of the Cantonment Hospital, at New Cantonment through their tele services. The Director General of Health has approved both the govt hospitals to take help from the Cantonment Hospital. The Cantonment Hospital administration proposed the treatment of kidney, neuro, and cardio cases of Beli and Colvin through AI-based free super speciality tele ICU in April last year. Later, Beli and Colvin hospital administration had sent a letter to the Additional Director on the proposal, and the same was sent to the Director General, seeking his permission.The Cantonment Hospital has made preparations for modern facilities in both the govt hospitals and a team of specialist doctors was also formed. The approval of the Director General was awaited before providing assistance in treatment.Presently, patients of the two govt hospitals are sent to the SRN hospital in need of expert opinion and advance treatment. There is also a proposal of Echo Doppler test of patients at a minimum charge. Director of Cantonment Hospital Siddharth Pandey said that treatment will start after reaching an agreement at the local level.
