Fourth accused in minor boy’s kidnapping case arrested | Prayagraj News
Prayagraj: A joint team of the Special Task Force (Prayagraj unit) and Saini police on Monday arrested a wanted criminal involved in a kidnapping case of a minor boy.The accused– Shivbabu Maurya of Piparkundi (Karari)– was also carrying a Rs 50,000 cash reward on his head.Police claimed that three accused involved in the case have already been arrested.Police added that a 13-year-old boy (special child) was allegedly kidnapped by a group of kidnappers on the intervening night of April 5 and 6 when he was sleeping on the verandah of his house in Paharpur village of Kaushambi. Cops, however, arrested three kidnappers and rescued the boy within 12 hours.They had planned to take five instalments of Rs 5 lakhs each. The prime accused was a close friend of the father of the minor boy and was a regular visitor at their house for the past 10 years.Police claimed the mani accused hatched the conspiracy after coming to know that the father of the victim sold a piece of land worth Rs 80 lakh. The kidnappers assumed that the father would not approach the police and pay the instalments easily.
