Patna: West Champaran police have arrested four men in connection with the alleged gang rape of a 15-year-old girl late on Saturday night. The incident took place in a field near the girl’s village.According to the police, the minor had stepped out of her home when she encountered the accused, who convinced her to accompany them to a nearby agricultural field. There, they committed the assault. The girl lost consciousness and was later found by local villagers, who alerted her family.Local SHO Kumar Devendra said, “When the girl’s condition worsened, the accused fled. Due to excessive bleeding, her condition remains critical. She was first admitted to the primary health centre (PHC), but doctors referred her to Govt Medical College Hospital (GMCH), Bettiah, for better treatment.”The girl’s father filed an FIR and based on her statement, all four accused were identified and arrested during raids. One of the accused is originally from Uttar Pradesh but had been living in Bagaha for construction work.“All the accused are adults. The case has been registered under the POCSO Act. We are investigating how the minor reached the field. A forensic examination of the site has been conducted, and a dog squad has been deployed to assist in the investigation,” the SHO added.
