Four arrested for stealing A/C compressors and mobile snatching in Rourkela | Bhubaneswar News
Rourkela: Four men were arrested by Jhirpani police on Thursday afternoon, allegedly for stealing compressors of air conditioners, A/C copper pipes, and for snatching mobile phones.
According to police, five cases were registered at Jhirpani police station from May 7, 2024, to Jan 8, 2025, regarding the theft of A/C compressors, copper pipes, and the snatching of mobile phones. Jhirpani police investigated the cases.
During the investigation, it came to light that four individuals were involved in the A/C outlet (compressor) theft case, the copper wire of the A/C theft case, as well as in mobile snatching cases. Jhirpani police apprehended them. Two broken air conditioner compressors, two A/C copper pipes, and one mobile phone were seized from their possession. Jhirpani police arrested the four individuals on Thursday afternoon.
The four arrested individuals have been identified as Suraj Dharwa (34), a resident under Sector-3 police station, Kishor Lugun (24), a resident under Sector-3 police station, Tufan Nayak (20), and Chhotu Bag (23), both residents under Sector-19 police station.
“We arrested four persons in this case and we are investigating the case,” said R Sahu, IIC, Jhirpani police station.
