Flyer arrested with cocaine worth 22cr – The Times of India

Mumbai: Officers from the Directorate of Revenue (DRI) Mumbai have arrested a Guinean passenger suspected of smuggling narcotic substances worth about Rs 22 crore into India from Nairobi.
She was intercepted on the basis of specific intelligence. Routine screening of her checked-in luggage revealed three concealed packets of a white-colored powder. Acting on this finding, the officers subjected the powder to a field test using an NDPS field test kit. The tests confirmed that the substance was cocaine. She was immediately arrested under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. tnn
