Five-year-old girl raped by two seniors in private school | Patna News – Times of India


Patna: A five-year-old girl, student at a private school in Nawada, was allegedly raped by two senior students from the same school. The accused, aged 12 and 13, are students in classes V and VI, respectively. Both were taken into police custody and sent to a remand home on Thursday. According to the police, the incident occurred near the school’s washroom on June 30.
Police said the girl had visited the school’s washroom between periods.It was there that both accused approached her.
They began to misbehave with the girl by touching her private parts. When the girl tried to flee, she was caught by the accused, who then forced themselves on her one after the other.
Nawada SDPO Anoj Kumar said the girl, a UKG student. informed her parents about the incident after reaching home.
“The family filed a police complaint on July 2. Following the Police promptly visited the school to investigate and inspected the areas indicated by the child and questioned the school employees and the principal,” the SDPO added.
The SDPO said a case was registered under the POCSO Act. “The accused were sent to a remand home after being produced before the Juvenile Justice Board. The girl was sent to Sadar Hospital for a medical examination, and the report is awaited,” he added.
SHO Avinash Kumar said, “The forensic team visited the school and collected samples. CCTV cameras installed in the school were thoroughly reviewed for evidence. Footage of the accused and the girl was captured on the CCTV. Further investigation is being conducted based on the complaint.”
