Five minor girls missing in Nalanda district | Patna News – Times of India


Biharsharif: Five minor girls have gone missing under mysterious circumstances from two villages in Nalanda in the past three days. Police have detained a minor boy in connection with the case. Extensive searches are on to locate the missing girls, according to an officer at Deepnagar police station.
The missing girls — three from Lalbagh village and two from neighboring Mandachh — were all Class VIII students at Dumrawan Upgraded Middle School.The three girls from Lalbagh had disappeared on July 27 after school. The following day, two more girls from Lalbagh and Mandachh went missing from their homes.
The parents filed FIRs at Deepnagar police station against unknown persons on Sunday. Principal Santosh Kumar of Dumrawan Middle School said three of the missing girls had been reprimanded by teachers and parents for having inscribed names on their wrists with a blade the day before their disappearance.
Deepnagar police station house officer Narad Muni said a boy has been detained for questioning. The detained boy revealed that three of the missing girls had left with a village boy on Saturday.
