HYDERABAD: A fire broke out at a paper plate manufacturing unit in Prashanth Nagar, Kukatpally, Hyderabad, on Sunday night.
According to officials, two fire engines were immediately dispatched to the scene to contain the blaze.

Firefighters worked to douse the flames and prevent the fire from spreading to nearby establishments.
Authorities have not yet confirmed the cause of the fire or reported any casualties.
An investigation into the incident is currently under way.
A similar fire incident was also reported at the Fairmont Hotel near Mumbai airport.

A fire broke out on the terrace of the Fairmont Hotel near Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport’s Terminal 2 in Vile Parle (East) at around 5.30pm on Sunday. While the hotel is close to the main runway, flight operations remained unaffected.
Thick black plumes of smoke were visible from the Mumbai Air Traffic Control, raising concerns. Firefighters swiftly responded, evacuating around 70-80 people from various floors of the hotel. The fire was successfully extinguished by 6.50pm, and no injuries were reported.
According to fire brigade officials, the fire was confined to an area of approximately 1,000-1,500 square feet on the terrace, affecting the air conditioning unit and exhaust ducting. Preliminary investigations suggest that the fire originated from electrical cables connected to the fresh air intake and exhaust units. A possible malfunction of the fans may have contributed to the incident.
Smoke from the terrace began seeping into the lower floors, prompting fire personnel to evacuate guests from the third to the seventh floor via staircases. Despite the intensity of the fire, no casualties or significant structural damage were reported.
