MUMBAI: The Economic Offences Wing’s special investigation team (SIT), probing the Mithi River desilting scam, on Tuesday registered an FIR against five contractors, three BMC officials, two company representatives and three middlemen for causing a wrongful loss of over Rs 50 crore to the civic body.
The police have launched searches at multiple locations linked to the accused.
