FIR against woman for assaulting RTO employee | Mumbai News – The Times of India

Mumbai: Amboli Police have registered an FIR against a 33-year-old woman for assaulting a female staff member at the Andheri RTO (Regional Transport Office), damaging a computer stand and trying to steal her cellphone.
On April 28, around 11.20 am, the accused, Isha Kabra, came up to the Andheri RTO. She approached the table of a female clerk and said that her jeep had been transferred in the name of one Pandey although she had not sold the vehicle to any such individual. She asked that the jeep be immediately transferred back in her name.
The clerk explained that the transfer of ownership process is not immediate. She added that the RTO received an application and necessary documentation to transfer the jeep in Pandey’s name, following which the transfer was done legally. She added that this information had already been provided to Kabra in an RTI plea made by her.
The staff has alleged that Kabra started to yell at them and damaged a computer stand. She then snatched a staffer’s cellphone when the latter started to film her.
The staffer has alleged that Kabra twisted her arm when she tried to get her phone back. One of the staffers called up the police. In the melee, the phone fell down and broke.
