Hyderabad: Hyderabad district in charge minister and transport minister Ponnam Prabhakar has directed officials to expedite land acquisition for city development projects.During a review of GHMC development works on Saturday, the minister assessed various city projects, including roads, flyovers, flood prevention works, along with street lighting, sanitation, and solid waste management.Officials were instructed to complete pending SRDP works promptly. Specific deadlines were set for the completion of Falaknuma ROB by July and Shastripuram ROB by Aug. Instructions were given for the immediate implementation of H-CITI sanctioned works.Emphasis was placed on pre-monsoon dredging and establishing emergency response teams for both main and internal roads. The minister highlighted the need for enhanced sanitation in newly developed colonies, suggesting additional sanitation worker appointments where necessary.Addressing the Jawahar Nagar dump yard situation, the minister said discussions, including land acquisition for an alternative site, were held and letters sent to district collectors of Rangareddy, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri, and Sangareddy.
