EV Sales: EV sales surge in Odisha, says Amazon | Bhubaneswar News
Bhubaneswar: E-commerce giant Amazon announced on Wednesday a 25% year-on-year growth in sales in FY24 across its home, kitchen, and outdoor equipments segment in Odisha, with a significant surge in electric vehicle (EV) sales, particularly in Bhubaneswar.
K N Srikanth, director of the home, kitchen, and outdoors segment at Amazon India, said that customers are becoming more environmentally conscious.“This trend has driven more than 50% year-on-year growth in solar products,” added Srikanth. He said that in Bhubaneswar, at least one electric scooter was sold every two days in July by top brands. The company also said that there is a growing demand for sports and sporting equipment in the region.
