Elephant Electrocuted: Elephant Electrocution Incident in Mayurbhanj District | Bhubaneswar News

Bhubaneswar: A female elephant was electrocuted inside an agricultural field in Mayurbhanj district’s Rasgovindpur on Saturday morning. “It looks like a case of sabotage because the house owner on whose agricultural field the elephant was electrocuted has put up a low-tension power line to prevent elephants from entering the paddy field. Three persons are involved in the case and they will be booked. They told us that low tension line won’t lead to fatality and was meant to just scare away the pachyderm,” said regional chief conservator of forest (Baripada circle) Prakash Gogineni.
