Elections: Leaders shift focus to other segments after polls in Ganjam | Bhubaneswar News

Berhampur: Leaders of BJD and BJP in Ganjam district have been moving around in various constituencies to campaign for their party candidates ahead of the last phase of elections on June 1. Elections in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada and Mayurbhanj Lok Sabha seats and 42 assembly constituencies under them will be held on June 1.
BJD’s outgoing MLAs Bikram Kumar Panda (Berhampur) and Subash Chandra Behera (Chhatrapur), Berhampur mayor Sanghamitra Dalei and others campaigned for their party candidates in Balasore.Some BJD leaders also visited Kendrapada and Jagatsinghpur LS constituencies.
Similarly, BJP leaders in Ganjam, including senior party leader and Gopalpur candidate Bibhuti Jena, district president Subash Chandra Sahu, Saroj Sabat and Pitabash Panda have been campaigning for their party candidates in Bhadrak Lok Sabha constituency.
“After our elections got over, we went to Sambalpur parliamentary constituency, which went to polls on May 25. After Sambalpur, we are in Bhadrak to campaign for our party candidates,” said Jena. He said some other leaders of his party also campaigned in other constituencies, including Jagatsinghpur and Kendrapada.
